Pristine Winter Days

by Mary on January 22, 2011

The Kezar Lake House

The snow lay neat and crisp and even.

Winter light

We skied through the backyard, took the path to the lakeside field, carefully maneuvered our way through the bramble along the edge of the lake.

Kezar Lake

Made our way up the path and into the woods.

Through the woods

Cold, but still. No wind blew. The only sound was that of the skis gliding through the snow, and our breath. Pristine. Perfect day.

Kezar Lake Is Frozen

A small group of ice fisherman on Kezar Lake, Maine.

Just back from a glorious winter weekend at Kezar Lake, where we (finally) found the lake frozen. We saw a few small groups of ice fisherman on the lake.

View of Speckled Mt. across a frozen Kezar Lake.
